NESFRA is owned and managed by Gordon Gray who has dedicated over 38 years to public service in domestic and industrial fire fighting, fire safety management and fire risk assessment and training.

Gordon joined the fire service in 1979 and progressed to become a Station Officer in Fire Safety Inspections in 1993 and a Fire Safety Manager in 2000. Over the years, Gordon amassed extensive skills and experience working with a network of construction companies, architects, environmental health and building control departments in the three North and East Scotland councils, to guide and advise on all matters relating to fire safety. In 2005, Gordon represented Grampian Fire and Rescue Service in the Scottish Fire Safety Forum which created the official guidance for all Scottish fire brigades on the new Fire (Scotland) Act, which was implemented in 2006. On leaving the fire service in 2013, Gordon worked for a local fire safety services company in the role of Fire Risk Assessor and Trainer until leaving to form NESFRA with the purpose of using his fire safety expertise to provide local communities and businesses in N E Scotland with a professional and cost-efficient fire risk assessment and training service you can trust.
